iPad not recongnized

description

The iPad is not recognized as mobile. Here is the user agent string from Apple.
 
Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; U; CPU OS 3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/531.21.10 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.4 Mobile/7B334b Safari/531.21.10

Thanks Paul - we are working to set the iPad as a PC, offically - given its screensize. What are your thoughts on this?

The user agent from Apple says mobile. That is how they are intending it to be recognized. They aren't really thinking of making it a pc are they?

If you don't detect it as mobile, maybe it's own category, or simply instruct people to detect "iPad" in the user agent string. Look at Gmail on the various devices. The iPad is different than both iPhone and PC.

Setting iPad as PC makes no sense. Apple says its mobile in the UA so why not roll with that?
