why is your app dependant on razor.. I have placed your .dll into my apps BIN directory and now I get the following error message..

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Web.Infrastructure, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

My IE 8.0 (user agent string : "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0)" ) says it canInitiateVoiceCall - this is wrong, it can not.
Why?

This is a Windows7 PC.

The SupportsTouchScreen capability for this phone shows up false although it is a touch screen phone with no input keyboard.
The model number shows up correctly as SCH-i910. Could you update this in your next release?

When I use this in a simple solution (Web App with 1 page and an if statement) in Visual Studio 2010 on a ASP .NET 4.0, I get an error "[No relevant source lines]".
Is this file already usable in ASP .NET 4.0?

Same problem. After i dropped the file into App_Browsers, i get Parse Error "[No relevant source lines]". vs2010 .net 3.5

Hello,

I tried two of the emulators in the Android SDK: Android 1.5 and Android 1.6 platform. Both should be recognized as HTC Magic, but both are NOT recognized by the latest (10/14) version of the browser file. The previous browser file DID recognize the Android 1.5, but not the 1.6.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is it the Browser File that doesn't do it's work completely well? In the file, I see entries for the HTC Magic, but somehow it is not recognized.

I have a web app, (really web and mobile web) using traditional web form, NOT MobilePages. If I disable viewstate for a page (using page directive: EnableViewState=”false”) then I get a exception. Could i disable view-state or is it imposible?

When accessing an aspx page on a Motorola Droid using the default browser I get the error:
error on line 1 at column 1: Document is empty.

This even happens on a simple page that does nothing more than response.write("hi")
Pages that are more complex get other errors, but this seemed to be the simplest way to have a recreation scenario for you. The same page can be accessed by other mobile devices and by desktop browsers with no errors.

The isMobileDevice does equal true, so it is being recognized. This error happens with the latest version (2010-04-16) and the first occurrence of the error is with the 2010-02-10 release of the mobile browser file where the Droid was first recognized as a mobile device.

The http headers are:
Accept: application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/ plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5

Normaly, this is caused because your MIME-type is incorrect or is not equal to page or your page isn't entirely XHTML conpliant. I will try repeat your test for more information

I ran into this same problem and was unable to find a workaround. If you change your http headers in any browser to just include "Android" it will throw this error.

I am getting IsMobileDevice returned as "false" for both an HTC Hero phone I am testing with as well as a Samsung Alias 2. For the Samsung, I am testing using a emulator from a desktop browser, but my customer is also not seeing the expected results even with the physical device. The user agents are listed below:

HTC Hero => Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 1.5; en-us; HERO200 Build/CUPCAKE) AppleWebKit/528.5+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Mobile Safari/525.20.1
Samsung Alias 2 (From my emulator) => SCH-U750L/1.0+NetFront/3.0.22.2.17+(GUI)+MMP/2.0

I am not able to get the user agent from the customer with the Alias 2 directly as they claim to have trouble navigating to a site that will display it to them.

If you could please state when you may be including these devices as mobile, that would be great.

I had an older version of the file working just fine with my MVC 2.0 app (.Net 4.0, VS 2010), but when I updated to the latest version (Jun 3 2010 rev), my app stopped working entirely, throwing the same error mentioned in the posted issue.

it's not true!
I have Desire with user-agent:

I am quite new on devloping for mobile devices so this might be a simple or a rookie error.
I am using the mdbf to get information on what kind a device and size on screen users have to use when i generate the page.
The page is then generated dynamicly based on who the user is and what kind of work he have been assigned in a database.
The page is working relativly fine without the mdbf but i want to get more info on the device.
But when i add the file i get this error on my device when opening the page

Tested som more and realized it is only in Opera i get this error not in Internet Explorer
but in IE i can't get QueryString on Postback to work.
